Nobuko started composing at the age of four on the piano and electric organ by putting music to picture books and nursery tales.
She graduates from Dual Diploma in Film Scoring and Contemporary Writing of Music at Berklee College of Music under the Georges Delerue Scholarship and Chicago Commercial Music Producer’s Award.
She worked with director Hideo Kojima at Konami Digital Entertainment as an in-house composer for 7 years where she applied her film-scoring technique and orchestral mock-up skills in music team. a creative in the music department on more than 70 scores for film, television, and Video Games.
Following her departure from Konami, she established her own company, FILM SCORE LLC, which specializes in the music production of soundtracks
Her most recent film scores is Japanese future film"Uzumasa Limelight (2014)", win of Best Feature Cheval Noir at Fantasia Film Festival, and nominated for Best Sound Editing in a Foreign Language Feature at MPSE, "Sumo Road(2015)", nominates Best Musical Award at Action On Film International Film Festival.
She has received many nominations and awards of worldwide such as Outstanding Achievement in Original Music of Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences Award(D.I.C.E.), BAFTA Game Award Best Original Score nominated, and winning IGN, Spike TV, AIAS, G4TV, GDC awards and so on.
She composed music alongside Harry Gregson-Williams for cinematic scenes throughout “METAL GEAR SOLID 3: SNAKE EATER”, “METAL GEAR SOLID 4 GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS ”as lead composer and some of this series. .She is currently involved in several movies, television, and AAA video-game productions based both in Japan, China, and the U.S.
Nobuko has also worked as an Orchestrator and Executive Music Producer on Microsoft Game Studios’s best-seller video Game Halo4 & Halo5. She finished orchestration of hybrid music composed by Kazuma Jinnouchi and is produced all score recorded on the Newman Scoring Stage at 20 Century Fox, LA and Abbey Road Studios, and Air Studios, London, with an orchestra of top-tier musicians and Peter Cobbin, and Alan Meyerson. Nobuko nominated for 2016 BAFTA Games Awards in Best Music category.
In 2015, She has inaugurated as chair & music director of "Film Score Philharmonic Orchestra" for soundtrack performing in Japan.
